Vintage Sergio Mazza Tetraclio Chandelier

This fixture features a sculptural, geometric form composed of eight half globe-shaped glass diffusers arranged symmetrically around a central stem. Each diffuser is made of frosted white glass, giving off a soft, diffused light. The sleek metal bands giving the illusion of a single large globe are secured with small visible screws. The metal band visually links the four spheres together into a single, cohesive cluster.

A smooth cylindrical metal stem descends through the center of the composition and ends with a small rounded finial at the bottom, adding balance to the design.

Sergio Mazza (born 1931) is an influential Italian designer known for his refined and innovative lighting and furniture. In 1955, he co-founded Artemide with Ernesto Gismondi, helping shape the company into a cornerstone of modern Italian design. Mazza’s work blends technical precision with elegant, understated forms, often using glass and metal in harmonious balance. His pieces such as the “Tetraclio” chandelier and the “Gamma” and “Alpha” lamps remain highly collectible and emblematic of mid-century Italian craftsmanship.
