Georges Pelletier (born 1938, Brussels) is a Belgian-born French ceramic artist renowned for his whimsical and sculptural lighting creations. After studying at the École des Arts Appliqués in Paris, he worked with Mathieu Matégot before opening his own studio. Pelletier’s lamps and totems, often pierced and glazed, emit warm, poetic light patterns. Combining ceramics with playful, organic forms, his works blur the line between art and function. Active since the 1960s, he became a key figure in French decorative arts, especially in Vallauris. Today, his distinctive handmade pieces remain highly sought after for their craftsmanship and timeless charm.
