Small White Glazed Georges Pelletier Table Lamp

This lamp has a warm, handcrafted aesthetic that blends natural materials with artistic design. The base is made of off white glazed ceramic, featuring circular cutouts and delicate dotted detailing that give it texture and depth. Its cylindrical lampshade is covered in woven fabric adorned with rows of soft cream-colored tassels arranged in a geometric pattern. When lit, the lamp casts a gentle, cozy glow through the openwork base and textured shade.

Georges Pelletier (1938 - 2023) is a Belgian-born French ceramic artist renowned for his whimsical and sculptural lighting creations. After studying at the École des Arts Appliqués in Paris, he worked with Mathieu Matégot before opening his own studio. Pelletier’s lamps and totems, often pierced and glazed, emit warm, poetic light patterns. Combining ceramics with playful, organic forms, his works blur the line between art and function. Active since the 1960s, he became a key figure in French decorative arts, especially in Vallauris. Today, his distinctive handmade pieces remain highly sought after for their craftsmanship and timeless charm.
