Inspired by the same shapes utilized for the Perlo suspensions,
The Marseille native and based ceramist Amandine Gorrino created these Perlito table lamps by stacking artisanally made ceramic pieces with a deep green glaze.
Today as an artisan, Amandine Gorrino has set up her workshop in Marseille, where she is originally from, to finally imagine, design, and create her own pieces in a world that combines raw original material with unique pigments and glaze blends. She uses stoneware, clay of different shades and textures, combined with high-temperature glazes. Amandine enjoys working with volume, highlighting her pieces that she sculpts, scratches, scrapes, glues, and incorporates elements while playing with material effects. Inspired by the architecture and nature of her environment, her intuition guides her movements to create unique pieces sculpted from the material. Her practice is intended to be intuitive and experimental, giving birth to "artworks-objects," each with its own identity, connected to her history and inspirations. She aims to marry aesthetics and utility to bring beauty and character to interior spaces. Part of her work is also dedicated to artistic research, with her approach being to create under constraints, to further experiment with the symbols and memories of our childhood and roots.
