Elegant and sculptural pair of “Palm Tree” table lamps by Maison Charles, Paris, dating to the 1960s. Executed in patinated brass, each lamp is formed as a stylized planter issuing finely cut palm fronds that rise around a central stem, an iconic motif of the house that balances classicism with mid-century glamour.
The lamps are raised on square plinth bases with neoclassical detailing, supporting flared urn forms with textured collars. Original to the design, the warm-toned metal shades diffuse light softly, enhancing the richness of the gilt and bronze patina. Both examples are stamped “Charles – Made in France”.
