This pair of ISIA table lamps by French ceramic artist Marie Fekroun demonstrates her refined approach to sculptural lighting and architectural clay forms. Each lamp is hand-built in stoneware and defined by a striking interplay of geometry and movement: a tall cylindrical column is extended by a sweeping, folded planes that curves in a fluid, almost calligraphic gesture.
The interior of the curved extension houses a recessed light source, casting a warm, indirect glow that illuminates the inner surface and accentuates the sculptural contours. The result is an elegant contrast between shadow and luminosity, with light appearing to emanate softly from within the clay itself.
