Pair of Hans-Agne Jakobsson Model V-258 "Estrella" Brass and Glass Wall Sconces

A rare and highly sculptural pair of Model V-258 "Estrella" wall sconces designed by Hans-Agne Jakobsson and produced by Hans-Agne Jakobsson AB, Markaryd, Sweden, during the 1960s. The V-258 is one of Jakobsson's most distinctive lighting designs, combining polished brass with cascading hand-blown glass elements to produce a rich, atmospheric glow.

Each sconce is composed of a polished brass backplate fitted with multiple suspended strands of individually hand-blown clear glass hourglass shaped decorations. The rhythmic arrangement of the glass creates remarkable depth while softly diffusing the light and generating shimmering reflections across the brass surface. The transparent elements appear to float, lending the fixture a light, architectural presence despite its substantial construction.

Both sconces retain their original Hans-Agne Jakobsson AB Markaryd paper labels identifying the model as V-258.
