A striking pair of SL-3 wall sconces by Bergboms, produced in Sweden during the 1950s.
Entirely crafted in brass, each sconce features a slender wall-mounted stem supporting a distinctive perforated conical shade. The shades are articulated and can be adjusted to direct the light, while the small perforations create a subtle decorative pattern when illuminated.
The elegant construction, warm patinated brass and functional adjustability are characteristic of Scandinavian lighting design of the period. The original dark switches mounted directly on the shades provide a particularly attractive period detail.
Both sconces retain their original “BERGBOM SL-3” markings, confirming the manufacturer and model.
