Pair of ceramic table lamps designed by Aldo Londi for Bitossi, Italy, circa 1960s.
Each lamp features a tall cylindrical ceramic body with a highly textured off-white finish, contrasted by a striking turquoise glazed band decorated with repeating deep cobalt-blue circular motifs. The combination of rough, almost architectural ceramic surfaces with richly saturated glazes is characteristic of Aldo Londi’s work for Bitossi during the postwar period.
The lamps are marked “B4/25 Italy” underneath, corresponding to the Bitossi model reference.
The pair is presented with newly made cylindrical fabric shades featuring a subtle geometric woven pattern, selected to complement the texture and proportions of the ceramic bases.
