Striking table lamp dating from the 1980s, featuring a substantial sculptural base in light green rough edges glass. The irregular, free-form body resembles a fragment of natural rock or crystal, with deeply modeled surfaces that capture and refract the surrounding light.
The considerable thickness of the glass creates a rich interplay of reflections, distortions and subtle tonal variations, giving the lamp a strong decorative presence even when unlit. A squared brass stem rises from the glass base to support the light fitting.
The lamp has been newly fitted with a contemporary offset cylindrical fabric shade, whose restrained geometry provides an elegant contrast to the organic and expressive character of the glass.
