Rare “Oplight” model 20162 table lamp designed by Hans-Agne Jakobsson and produced by Hans-Agne Jakobsson AB in Markaryd, Sweden, circa 1970s. The model is documented with brass bases and colored glass shades.
The lamp features a substantial polished brass cylindrical base, punctuated around the upper section by a distinctive row of teardrop-shaped openings. Above sits a large sculptural shade in amber-orange glass, characterized by its rounded silhouette and molded concentric details at the neck.
The colored glass creates a particularly warm effect: when switched off, it displays a rich amber tone, while illuminated it produces a soft golden glow. The contrast between the saturated glass and polished brass gives the lamp a strong decorative presence typical of Scandinavian lighting of the period.
