Georgia Jacob, a notable figure in French design. She is most famous for her "draped" lamps of the early to mid 1970's. The inspiration comes from the freedom and effortless beauty of draped fabric. Its casual elegance. She came up with the idea of taking knit textile and suspending it in resinous acrylic of different hues in order to come with a permanent and light-safe way of illuminating said textiles.
